If you would like to become a playing member of the WSO, please email us at info@wimso.org.uk. WSO welcomes applications from players with orchestral experience who have achieved at least Grade 8 standard.

String players are always welcome, especially violas!  WSO currently has vacancies for horns and trombone players.

Vacancies for woodwind come up less often, however, large scale works often require an expanded wind section. Please get in touch if you are interested

Rehearsals

WSO rehearses on Tuesday nights from 7.30-10.00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Primary School, 13 Effra Road, London, SW19 8PW during term time.

Since its inception, Friends of WSO has helped raise significant funds for the orchestra. WSO welcomes anyone interested in becoming a Friend, and is very grateful for the support provided.

WSO suggests an annual donation of £20. The orchestra is a registered charity, No. 259860, and completion of a Gift Aid declaration is encouraged.

As a Friend, you will receive full details of each season’s programme and in advance of each concert. You can obtain details of Friends of WSO at any of our concerts or by contacting friends@wimso.org.uk.

You can advertise in one of our programmes, or perhaps sponsor a concert, a soloist, or the performance of a work, for example, through paying for music hire. If you would like to explore one of these ideas, please contact the orchestra’s Chair at info@wimso.org.uk.
