In Loving Memory of Urusla Alldis

February 27, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ursula Alldis on 02 February 2020.

A chamber musician, teacher and orchestral player, she was a devoted and committed member of Wimbledon Symphony Orchestra for over 50 years alongside her husband - the eminent John Alldis - who conducted the orchestra for several decades.

There will be further tributes to Ursula at WSO’s next concert on 4th April 2020, with details of an award set up in her memory to support the string studies and musical development of talented and deserving local children.

The Wimbledon Symphony Orchestra wishes to extend our deepest sympathies to Ursula’s family.

Please consider making a donation to the Merton Music Foundation’s Ursula Alldis Award to help shape the next generation of musicians for years to come.
